1. The Privacy Policy sets out the principles for the processing and protection of personal data provided by Users in connection with their use of the website available at inawjournal.pl
2. In the interests of the security of personal data entrusted to us, we have implemented procedures to prevent any breach of personal data security. These procedures shall comply with applicable law, in particular:

- through the information voluntarily entered in the application form, i.e., name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number, article content,
- by codes monitoring website traffic (including but not limited to storing cookies in terminal equipment),
- the website may also save information about connection parametres (including time stamp, IP address).
4. We reserve the right to make changes to this privacy policy, which may be affected by developments in internet technology, possible changes in data protection law, and our website's development. We will communicate any changes visibly and understandably.
5. Links to other websites may appear on the website, especially in articles, news items, and images. Our Service in no way monitors such websites. These websites may have their privacy policies and terms and conditions, which we recommend you read.
Therefore, the Controller of the website www.inawjournal.pl, in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of the GDPR, would like to inform you that:
1. Users' personal data are controlled by the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, which can be contacted at the address of its registered office: Plac Jana Matejki 13, 31-157 Kraków and at the e-mail address: iod@asp.krakow.pl.
2. The Controller has appointed a Data Protection Officer who can be contacted at the following e-mail address iod@asp.krakow.pl.
3. Users' personal data will be processed for:

- the conclusion and performance of the contract, by accepting the terms and conditions, submitting the article to the electronic system (legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR),
- to send educational and promotional information regarding the activities of the magazine - on the basis of your consent (legal basis: Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR),
- the possible establishment or assertion of claims (legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR),
- the provision of website services by us - for this purpose, we process information such as Your IP address, information about cookies, data about the browser you are using, data about your activity on our website, session data (legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR,
- analysing the quality of our services in order to improve their functionality and to keep statistics on the use of our website, using cookies, IP addresses, browser data, website activity, and sessions (legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
4. Users' personal data left on our site may be passed on to processors in connection with the outsourced administration and support services of the magazine, including, in particular:
- publishers of analytical systems Google Analitycs, AddThis
- publishers of databases and index catalogues:
- Google Scholar
- Crossref Metadata Search
5. The provision of personal data is necessary for the publication of the article. If you only use the content of the magazine, the provision of the data is voluntary.
6. Personal data of authors, reviewers, editors will be processed for scientific and statistical purposes for the entire period when electronic versions of the journal are available.
7. The Controller may delete the personal data of potential authors whose texts have not been accepted for publication 2 years after the editorial decision not to publish.
8. The Controller may delete the personal data of Users with reading rights at any time upon prior request of the User.
9. The User has the right to:

- Access to the content of your personal data, i.e., the right to obtain confirmation as to whether we are processing your data and information concerning such processing,
- The right to rectification if the data processed by us is incorrect or incomplete,
- Erase or restrict the processing of personal data - where the processing is based on the consent given to us,
- Data portability,
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interest or to processing for direct marketing purposes,
- Withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal - if the processing is based on the consent given to us,
- in the cases and under the conditions set out in the GDPR.
10. The User also has the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection if it is substantiated that their personal data are processed by the Controller contrary to the provisions of the GDPR.
11. Personal data will not be processed by automated means, including profiling.
12. Your personal data will not be transferred to international organisations; however, it may be transferred to third countries (including the USA) through our use of tools from companies based or operating outside the EU.
Information on cookies
- The website uses cookies, composed of computer data, in particular text files stored in the terminal equipment of the Website User and intended for use in the website.
